I am currently a senior algorithm engineer at TongYi. I obtained my Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science, Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), supervised by Prof. Jianliang Xu. I was a member of the Database Group. Before that, I obtained my Bachelor’s degree from the School of Electronic Information and Communications (EIC), Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in 2020.

[Nov. 2024] Our work titled “Accelerating D-core Maintenance over Dynamic Directed Graphs” was accepted by ICDE 2025.

[Aug. 2024] I passed my oral defense! You may now call me Dr. Liao!

[Jan. 2024] Our work titled “Truss-based Community Search over Streaming Directed Graphs” was accepted by VLDB 2024.

[Aug. 2023] I started my internship at NUS, working under the supervision of Prof. Bingsheng He.

[Feb. 2023] I finished my candidature defense.

[Nov. 2022] Our work titled “Distributed (\alpha, \beta)-Core Decomposition over Bipartite graphs” was accepted by ICDE 2023.
